Bingo Tips for Beginners

There are generally three ways to win with a bingo ticket – one line, two lines or the “Full House”. Not all bingo games use all of these rules, however, and some even have different guidelines for bingo wins. In New Zealand, for example, there is an extra level of bingo win – when a player has three lines of his ticket with all numbers having been selected by the caller – while in the United Kingdom the first level of bingo victory is usually for two lines, with no win for just a single line. In the National Bingo Game played in the United Kingdom, the only winning claim is for the complete ticket – the “Full House”. Needless to say, this reduces the chances of a win considerably, yet the game is predictably popular due to the high stakes of that first prize, with the record payout for that “Full House” currently standing at over a million pounds.

In traditional bingo games not played on the internet or via television lottery, the games are usually held in a social venue such as a church hall or football club. Bingo tickets usually come in books, which keen players are able to buy up to six of. If a player has a winning claim for one line, two lines or “Full House”, they must make it – either by shouting “Bingo” or “Yes” or some other variation – immediately. If the game has moved on before they notice their win, that success usually becomes invalid.
