Isildur hits a losing steak

Popular Swede Isildur1‘s layoff from the high stakes games hasn’t made him immune to losing and he has been back at the poker tables over the course of the last week. He hasn’t really changed his ways, but he has changed his opponents. About a week ago Isildur1 resurfaced and played a quick session of $100/$200 no-limit Hold’em. That was good for a $26,000 win, not the kind of numbers that we would expect from him, but a good start.

So following on a few days and a couple or so of beers later he hopped onto 6 or so tables and promptly lost around $97,000 in 2,123 hands.  The results were about the same as they have been in the past against the big names: he dropped $87,000! No doubt, online poker fans will want to keep their eyes peeled for him in the coming days – not only can his volatility can make for some exciting viewing, but he could also very easily dust off his bankroll and be gone again in the blink of an eye.

Could You Call House With Online Bingo?

Online bingo is a great way to spend some free time – especially if you want to be in with a chance of winning a nice prize or two.  In some games, hundreds of thousands of pounds are up for grabs on a daily basis.  The rules of the online version of the game are the same as if you were to visit a bingo hall, but you can play right around the clock if you want to.

This is undoubtedly one of the reasons why so many people love playing bingo online.  They get to choose when they want to play, and since it can be a nice way to wind down after a long day, this is good to know.

For example, if you get in from work at 10pm you aren’t going to be able to go out to a bingo hall to play. Most of them will be shut by then, or at least winding down for the evening.  With online bingo, however, all you need to do is to go to the relevant site and log in.  A membership is typically free and you can then decide how much you want to bet on the game you are playing.

The other main advantage is that you can join a game for a small amount, perhaps only £1, but you still stand a chance of winning a four-figure sum, depending on which site you visit.  You don’t have to miss out on the social side of bingo either; most online bingo sites have dedicated and thriving communities and forums.

It’s easy to see why so many people love bingo, especially when they take the time to play it online.

Poker Players – Liv Boeree

Poker is a game for equals, which means that there is no discrimination between the sexes and women are seen at the tables nowadays as a matter of course. As poker is a game of skill with some element of luck attached, physicality has absolutely no effect on the eventual outcome of a poker tournament, which is just as well for stunning looking Liv Boeree the 26 year old girl from Kent. In April this year she beat 1,240 contestants to scoop the PokerStars European Poker Tour top prize of €1,million at San Remo Italy.

Though she had played cards for fun with her friends, she had no idea of the rules, but thought her expertise in astrophysics and maths learnt from school and her degree at Manchester University would help her out. Two years later and she’s the top female player in the business. She is currently at the London leg of the EPT, where she’ll be looking to challenge for the £1million prize pot and catch up with her friends and family.

Changes to Bingo

There was a time when in order to indulge yourself in a game of bingo you had to get to your nearest Mecca or church hall, and though these two traditional venues are still very popular, huge changes have taken place in recent years. In fact, the environment for lovers of bingo has changed almost beyond recognition, with the old smoke-filled and often seedy locales now replaced by sleek, clean and efficient emporia that resemble five-star hotels in their comforts and facilities.

But the real transformation in bingo and many other games has come courtesy of the internet. Recent improvements in technologies for the virtual world have enabled even the most sophisticated games to be produced online, and bingo has made a successful move to this electronic realm and is attracting more players than ever before there.

The old, familiar format is still there, though now you use a mouse instead of a dauber to click on buttons and navigate the menus. It might seem unfamiliar at first, but you’ll soon get used to it as thousands of other bingo lovers have, and the beauty of playing online bingo of course is the fact that you can play it from the comfort of your own home.

In between games you can play online scratch cards and online slots, as well as many more forms of entertainment. The social element is also reproduced in the form of online chat rooms, where you can hang out with fellow players in real time.

Have a look around and find out what’s on offer in the wonderful world of online bingo.
