It had to happen at some time and in what can be described politely as an unexpected move, UB.com has signed adult film actress Samantha Ryan as their newest sponsored pro. Ryan, with over 165 movie roles to her credit, has starred in such films as “War of the Girls”, “Girls Kissing Girls”, and “All by Myself.” Although the sponsorship will be limited, she is expected to make her first appearance at the online poker room at Event 11 of the current World Series of Poker.
Although Ryan’s selection will be questioned by many due to her day job, others are pointing out her virtual lack of experience as a poker player. She has no cashes in tournament poker, and she has only recently been playing in charity events. It will certainly be interesting to see her in action at the poker table rather than the cinema!
